Artists are supposed to open the doors of the mind and of awareness in new ways
and in ways which elude convention so that it is possible for new thoughts (at the
edges of perception) to arrive.

In this solo retrospective show I have attempted to challenge the boundaries of
many sorts of things and many categories of understanding. Through working in
my home and by opening these physical doors, I have tried through the utterly
personal and particular to talk about the general and the universal.

The show has been open for 4 days now and has started gently and at a pace and
scale which is meaningful and manageable. So far there have been about 180 people
through the doors. What is most striking is how people’s expectations are often
what determine how they see what is before them.

Believing is seeing.
